The Project Expeditor proactively manages supplier delivery performance to ensure timely supply of materials, equipment and services supporting projects, assets and operations. The role provides centralised purchase order expediting and delivery assurance, prioritising critical-path procurement, offshore operations, vessel mobilisations and time-sensitive requirements. The postholder understands the operational, commercial and programme implications of supplier delays, takes ownership of expediting activity, identifies risks early and drives action to protect delivery schedules.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and expedite outstanding purchase orders from placement through to delivery
- Obtain accurate acknowledgements, manufacturing schedules, progress updates and confirmed delivery dates
- Compare supplier commitments with procurement schedules, project requirements and critical milestones
- Identify delays, discrepancies and emerging schedule risks at the earliest opportunity
- Coordinate corrective actions and recovery plans to minimise programme impacts
