This role would suit a nanny who is looking for a long-term role supporting new parents and who will become a trusted and valued part of their household, growing with them as their family grows.
Nanny Duties
As first-time parents, the family are particularly keen to find a warm, reassuring and experienced nanny with whom they feel entirely comfortable; someone confident in her knowledge and abilities whilst sensitive to the parents’ wishes and able to work collaboratively with them. Mother holds a senior international role and works full time from home, so will be present during the working day; however, her professional commitments mean the nanny will have primary responsibility for the baby.The nanny will:
- provide a warm, stimulating and developmentally focused environment, establishing an age-appropriate routine while supporting her through each stage of her early development
- Encouraging socialisation with other babies and attending local movement, music and other age-appropriate classes, all within walking distance of the family home
- Preparing and giving meals and supporting the baby as she progresses through weaning
- All nursery duties including the baby’s laundry, keeping her nursery and belongings organised and ensuring everything she needs is kept well stocked
- Flexibility to travel with the family on holiday would be highly desirable. The family spend time in Bodrum, Turkey in August and Finland in December and would welcome flexibility for their nanny accompanying them
- Mother’s role also involves international travel, predominantly to European cities and Istanbul and she would ideally like a nanny who is open to accompanying her with the baby on occasion whilst Father remains in London
- No driving or proxy parenting required
- Cleaning lady employed
- No pets
- Applicants must speak English and either Finnish or Turkish
- Must have strong experience caring for young babies and toddlers
- A formal childcare qualification would be advantageous but is not essential – what matters is the right fit for the family
- Working Monday to Friday 9.00am–5/6.00pm with the potential for occasional babysitting
