About Us: Imperial London Hotels is a family run company with a 187-year legacy, dedicated to putting authentic London experiences within everyone's reach. This summer, we open the doors to our fully re-imagined hotel, The Imperial - a new lifestyle offering within our portfolio. With 357 bedrooms, multiple dining venues, a workout studio, and destination rooftop bar, this will be a new beacon, bang in the heart of Bloomsbury, London.
About the Role: We're searching for a confident, tech-savvy and customer-focused Switchboard Coordinator. You'll be the voice of the hotel-connecting calls, assisting guests and ensuring our communication channels run effortlessly around the clock.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Operate the NEC Business ConneCT system, IP phones and PA systems with speed and accuracy.
- Handle calls professionally, providing clear information or directing callers to the right departments.
- Monitor system performance, report faults and follow procedures for emergency and priority calls.
- Manage wake-up calls, guest messages and call logging across systems including Opera and Telecom Eye.
- Ensure detailed record-keeping, smooth handovers and consistent communication standards.
- Provide out-of-hours support for staff and guests, maintaining a 24-hour service.
Who You Are:
- Excellent telephone manner with proven customer service experience.
- Strong written and spoken English, confident with MS Office and multitasking.
- Calm, organised and able to prioritise under pressure.
- Bonus: experience with switchboard systems or hospitality environments.
