About Us

Imperial London Hotels is a family run company with a 187 year legacy, dedicated to putting authentic London experiences within everyone's reach. We have big plans for growth, and we need people who share our excitement for the future, whilst upholding our core values of positivity, care, collaboration, growth and pride.

Owning and operating seven 3 & 4-star hotels near Russell Square underground station, including the UK's largest hotel - The Royal National, these are exciting times for ILH as it seeks to evolve and modernise all areas of the business whilst keeping its unique heritage and culture at its heart. This summer, we open the doors to our fully re-imagined hotel, The Imperial - a new lifestyle offering within our portfolio.

About the Role

As the Security Operations Centre Manager at Imperial London Hotels, you will lead the day to day running of our central SOC, ensuring continuous protection of our guests, colleagues, assets and brand reputation. You will oversee real time monitoring, incident response, threat intelligence and compliance, while driving a proactive, service focused security culture that supports our operations 24/7/365.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • You will lead a fully operational 24/7/365 SOC supporting all ILH hotels
  • Establish and maintain SOC processes, SOPs, escalation paths and KPIs
  • Ensure timely detection, triage and resolution of all security incidents across physical and digital environments
  • Work closely with hotel General Managers, Operations Managers, Duty Managers and Risk teams
  • Act as Incident Commander during major events and high impact situations
  • Oversee incident logging, evidence preservation and post incident reviews
  • Ensure readiness for crisis scenarios including evacuation, lockdown and business continuity events
  • Manage CCTV, access control, alarms and all integrated security systems
  • Ensure system uptime, monitoring quality and compliance with regulations and brand standards
  • Work with Group IT to secure networked devices and support cyber physical alignment
  • Monitor emerging threats affecting hotels such as organised crime, fraud, protest activity, terrorism or cyber enabled risks
  • Conduct property and event risk assessments
  • Recommend security enhancements, preventative measures and capital investment priorities
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR, licensing, Health & Safety and brand security policies
  • Produce exec level reporting including dashboards, metrics and incident trends for the Security Committee
  • Lead internal audits relating to security operations and technology
  • Recruit, train and coach SOC Analysts and Supervisors
  • Build a high performance, vigilant and service oriented team culture
  • Coordinate training with hotel security teams and external emergency services

Who you Are:

To be successful for this role, you will be an experienced security professional with a strong background leading a SOC or managing a multi site security function. Skilled in incident management, threat monitoring and risk assessment, with the ability to remain calm, decisive and solutions focused under pressure. Confident working in fast paced, 24/7 guest facing environments - hospitality experience is beneficial but not essential. A clear and persuasive communicator, able to brief senior stakeholders and guide frontline teams. Technically knowledgeable across CCTV, access control, alarm systems and security monitoring platforms. Analytical, detail driven and committed to continuous improvement. Holds required SIA licences (CCTV & Door Supervision) and ideally a recognised Security Management qualification. A people focused leader who builds strong teams and models a service led approach aligned with the guest experience.
