We’re looking for a dedicated and approachable HR Business Partner to join our People and Development team at our office near Russell Square, central London. As a key member of our HR team, you’ll play an essential role in supporting our managers and employees, ensuring our teams have the resources and support they need.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Provide accurate, timely advice on all People & Development / ER matters to Hotel Managers, HODs, senior leadership and colleagues.
  • Lead on complex ER cases, including disciplinary, grievance and appeal hearings.
  • Support managers with conflict resolution and absence management.
  • Ensure all ER activity aligns with company values and UK employment law.
  • Deliver a professional, forward-thinking HR service covering the full employee lifecycle onboarding, engagement, ER and compliance.
  • Use people data, metrics and trends to drive decision‑making and support business improvements.
  • Build strong relationships with managers, coaching and supporting them to confidently lead their teams.

Who You Are

  • Proven experience in a People & Development / HR role (Advisor, Officer or Business Partner level).
  • Strong experience advising managers on ER issues and absence, capability, disciplinary and grievance processes.
  • Knowledge of HR best practice across recruitment, L&D, employee relations, attendance and engagement.
  • Up‑to‑date understanding of UK employment law and GDPR.
  • Experience handling sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism.
  • Strong communication skills — written, verbal and interpersonal.
  • Confidence working with managers at all levels.
  • Excellent organisation, prioritisation and attention to detail.
  • Problem‑solving ability and sound judgement.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Qualifications

  • CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent) or QBE with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development.
