This summer, we open the doors to our fully re-imagined hotel, The Imperial - a new lifestyle offering within our portfolio. With 357 bedrooms, multiple dining venues, a workout studio, and destination rooftop bar, this will be a new beacon, bang in the heart of Bloomsbury, London.
About the Role: We're looking for a confident, welcoming and highly observant Doorman to be the first point of contact for our guests. You'll be the calm, reassuring presence at our doors - greeting guests, supporting arrivals and departures, and helping keep the hotel safe, secure and running smoothly.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Give every guest a warm, professional welcome and guide them where they need to go
- Handle guest queries, problems or complaints with confidence and care
- Stay alert to safety, security and wellbeing - reporting issues immediately to the Duty Manager or relevant leaders
- Liaise with emergency services when required and support the team during critical situations
- Assist guests with luggage, directions and general support throughout their stay
- Conduct floor patrols, fire checks, secure access points and help maintain a safe hotel environment
- Investigate noise, disruption or incidents with professionalism
- Help keep forecourts, entrances and public spaces clear, tidy and guest ready
- Support check in with self check in devices, key distribution and guest communication
- Work closely with all hotel departments to ensure guest expectations are exceeded
- Participate in staff training and help onboard new team members
- Carry out additional tasks to maintain high standards throughout the hotel
Who You Are:
- Excellent communicator with experience handling customer issues face to face and over phone/email
- Calm under pressure, confident in difficult situations and naturally guest focused
- Comfortable using MS Office and able to communicate in English to CEFR B2 level
- Ideally experienced in a Security, Concierge or Porter role in hospitality
- Desirable: SIA Level 2 Door Security, First Aid, Health & Safety or Manual Handling training
