In joining our team, you will be immediately welcomed into the Imperial London Hotels (ILH) Family of Hotels where we have a rich history of over 200 years of hospitality experience creating unique guest experiences. Our eight hotels are all located in the heart of Bloomsbury, Central London. Collectively, our 8 hotels have a fantastic variety of meetings and events spaces with flexibility to accommodate a round-table discussion for 6 people to a large conference attended by over 700 delegates within our 28 meeting rooms.
We are now recruiting for a Cluster Meetings & Events Sales Manager to join our vibrant and multi-cultural team. In this exciting role, you will be reporting to our Head of Sales and implementing strategies to achieve our Meetings & Event sales & revenue targets. You will be responsible for generating new sales, networking, and nurturing our existing clients to increase revenues across the hotels.
What you’ll be doing:
- Perform day-to-day sales activity including lead generation, account management, face-to-face meetings, contracting, client entertainment, national sales trips, managing key events agents partnerships and attending trade shows and networking.
- Target and contract new direct and agency business as required and in line with the hotel sales strategy.
- Have full product knowledge of the facilities offered.
- Calling potential clients, arranging show-arounds, and converting enquiries into sales.
- Arranging own sales appointments and actioning professional follow-up accordingly.
- Establish key relationships with corporate clients and agencies to ensure maximum exposure and increase revenue.
- Ensure pro-active follow-up of all business, referrals, and potential sales leads.
- Attend, host, and coordinate client entertaining as required.
- Proactively drive new MICE business into the hotels.
- Manage and develop existing agency and corporate accounts.
- Work closely with the Head of Sales, Cluster Sales Managers and Meeting & Events Team.
- Drive and support conversion of Meeting and Events enquiries, supporting the in-house Meeting and Events sales team.
- Meet and exceed defined sales targets.
- Development and implementation of hotel sales plan also maximizing revenue and profit.
- Attend and contribute to weekly and monthly hotel meetings as required.
- Maintain confidentiality of guest and associate’s information and pertinent hotel data.
- Identify creative ideas to help improve and differentiate Imperial London Hotels.
What we’d like from you:
- Proven experience gained in proactive sales, ideally from within the M&E Hospitality sector.
- A strong knowledge of the M&E Agency landscape and a large network of your own.
- Experience of sales and negotiation skills.
- Commercially focused with good knowledge of local trends and competitor activity.
- Confident and engaging manner with the ability to build rapport and trust at all levels both internally and externally.
- Strong leadership and motivational skills.
- Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise and adapt to changing priorities.
- Acts as brand ambassador for Imperial London Hotels promoting a professional image at all times.
