Kitchen Porter – Tavistock Hotel (Imperial Hotels London Group)
40 hours a week (5 days a week on a rotating rota)
£12.94 per hour
We are looking for a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team at the Tavistock Hotel in central London. As a key member of staff, you will play an essential role in crafting memorable dining experiences for our guests while ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, appliances, and utensils.
- Operate dishwashing, glass, cutlery, and other kitchen machines.
- Understand and correctly use cleaning liquids and their dosage.
- Assist with stock storage, deliveries, and general kitchen upkeep as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Kitchen Porter in the hotel industry.
- Strong foundation in cooking techniques and a passion for food.
- Team‑oriented attitude with a creative flair for presentation.
- Eye for perfection and problem‑solving skills.
- Happy working in a fast‑paced environment and flexible to varied shifts (early mornings, evenings, weekends).
Desirable (Not Essential but a Plus)
- Level 2 Food & Safety Qualification or equivalent.
- Experience in the hospitality or catering sector.
- Strong understanding of COHH and Food Safety Regulations.
