We are part of the Imperial London Family of Hotels, a family-run company with over years of history. We’re rewriting the traditional hospitality mindset, paving the way for a fresh approach at our 8 hotels in Bloomsbury. We are now recruiting a Food & Beverage Supervisor at our Nestled opposite the picturesque Russell Square Gardens in the vibrant heart of Bloomsbury, London. The Tavistock Hotel has rooms and is a homely place to be, offering an on-site Indian restaurant bar and laid-back lounge bar. Within the Hotel, our Poppadom Indian Kitchen offers a diverse flavour journey across majestic India. Celebrating classic Indian and Anglo Indian cuisine and street food, our chefs combine pure spices, traditional methods and bags of passion to create enchanted flavours to feed the soul, complimented by the best wines.

Putting our guests at the heart of everything you do, you make it your mission to ensure that you and your team deliver an exceptional guest experience and memorable stay. You will be supporting the Food & Beverage Manager in overseeing the food & beverage operations and ensuring high standards of service within our Botanica Restaurant.

Key Duties:

  • Oversee the service of food and beverages within the outlets and maintain overall responsibility for the kitchen, food preparation and beverage service throughout the outlets.
  • Take responsibility for stock, including ordering, acceptance, and maintenance of stock levels and stock rotation, and return of any sub-standard items.
  • Review sales and beverage costs for the previous day; resolve discrepancies with Accounts.
  • Track actual against budget.
  • Inspect, plan and ensure that all materials and equipment are in complete readiness for service; rectify deficiencies with respective personnel.

What we would like from you:

  • 2 years’ experience in a Food & Beverage environment as a Food & Beverage Supervisor, ideally in hotel industry.
  • A natural flair for customer service and passion for food & beverage.
  • Strong knowledge of Food & Beverage, such as latest drinks and stock management.
  • Food Safety or Food Hygiene qualification Level 2 or equivalent.
  • Flexibility to work a varied shift pattern: early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
  • Team-oriented attitude.
  • Positive and caring personality.
  • Professional proficiency in English.

Desirable (not essential but a plus!):

  • Proficiency in multiple languages.
  • Knowledge of Miros.
