We are seeking a reliable and highly organised Goods Receiver to support our kitchen operations. You will take responsibility for managing inbound deliveries, stock rotation and storeroom organisation to ensure our chefs always have what they need.
Responsibilities:
- Manage food purchase orders, stock levels and delivery records using company software.
- Receive, check and record all goods delivered into the food stores, using forklifts when required.
- Inspect quality, quantity and condition of goods, rejecting items when necessary.
- Store goods safely in fridges, freezers and dry storage with correct rotation and labelling.
- Organise and prepare subsidiary orders for internal outlets.
- Maintain accurate stock levels and assist with stock checks.
- Keep storerooms clean, tidy and pest-free, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- At least 2 years' experience in a stores or similar operational role.
- Computer literate, methodical and able to work independently.
- Bonus: Food Hygiene Level 2/3, forklift licence, hospitality qualification, knowledge of food legislation.
