About Us

We are Imperial Health Charity, an organisation that helps our hospitals do more through grants, arts, volunteering, and fundraising. We support the five hospitals of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust: Charing Cross, Hammersmith, Queen Charlotte's & Chelsea, St Mary's, and the Western Eye.

We are now looking for a Philanthropy Executive to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 35 hours per week.

This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced fundraiser with strong relationship management skills and a track record of securing significant gifts to join our compassionate organisation. From developing persuasive proposals to nurturing long-term support, you'll lead fundraising that can unlock vital resources and create a lasting difference across five major London hospitals.

As a Philanthropy Executive, you will help secure transformative funding from major donors, trusts and foundations, and corporate partners to support our hospitals and fundraising priorities. You will manage and develop a small portfolio of supporters while growing our mid-value donor programme, building strong relationships and delivering excellent stewardship to increase engagement, retention and income.

Additionally, you will:

  • Support fundraising events and the annual Winter Appeal
  • Manage philanthropy enquiries and donations
  • Maintain accurate supporter records and philanthropy processes
  • Promote our work to NHS colleagues and external stakeholders

About You

To be considered as a Philanthropy Executive, you will need:

  • Experience of major gift, trusts and foundations and/or corporate fundraising, or in a similar role
  • Experience of relationship management and stewardship of supporters, soliciting up to four or five figure gifts through face-to-face asks and/or funding proposals
  • Proven experience of working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
  • The ability to analyse complex information and compile it into concise, powerful and persuasive funding proposals
  • Excellent networking and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent IT skills, in particular Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and fundraising databases
  • To be educated to degree level or equivalent relevant professional experience
  • Professional development or training in fundraising, prospect research, data analysis, or charity governance
  • Membership of a relevant professional body or a willingness to work towards this

The closing date for this role is 11:30pm on Wednesday 2nd September 2026. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to first-round interviews at our office on Monday 7th and Tuesday 8th September 2026. Successful candidates will be invited to a second final-stage interview.
