Responsibilities
You will:
- Develop detailed technical drawings and specifications based on project requirements and design concepts
- Utilize CAD software to create accurate and comprehensive construction documents, including floor plans, elevations and sections
- Collaborate with architects, engineers and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of technical designs with project goals and objectives
- Coordinate with internal and external teams to resolve design conflicts and ensure smooth project execution
- Ensure technical designs comply with building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards
- Conduct quality assurance reviews of technical drawings to identify and address any discrepancies or errors
- Prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date construction documentation, including drawings, specifications, and material schedules
- Assist in the preparation of bid packages and construction contracts
- Provide technical support to project teams throughout the construction process, responding to RFIs and assisting in resolving on-site construction issues
- Assist in conducting site visits and surveys to gather information for design development and coordination
Qualifications
You have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field, or practical experience
- 2-3 years of experience in technical design in the construction services industry
- Strong Technical aptitude and understanding of construction principles, materials and methods
- Knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards
- Proficient in CAD software, such as AutoCAD and Revit
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and precision in technical designs and documentation
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
