About the role

Recruit, assess and nurture the next generation of leaders as a Recruitment & Admissions Officer (Full-Time and Weekend MBA) at a world-leading university. Imperial Business School is seeking a diligent professional to join our team and support end-to-end pipeline engagement across two of our flagship MBA programmes. You will be empowered to attract and admit exceptional candidates who will benefit business and improve society through the power of innovative thinking. This is an outward-facing role, grounded in data and driven by the robust global relationships you will build.

What you would be doing

  • You will support the recruitment and admissions processes for Imperial’s Full-Time and Weekend MBA programmes – engaging with the full applicant journey from initial enquiry through to enrolment.
  • You will play a key role in shaping the composition, quality and diversity of our cohorts, ensuring a smooth, professional and engaging experience for every applicant.
  • You will be guided by data-driven recruitment strategies, delivering application and selection processes with rigour and efficiency, and ensuring a professional, personalised experience for every candidate.
  • Through targeted engagement, events and communications, you will play a part in developing exceptional student cohorts that contribute to the global reputation of the programmes and the institution.
  • Reporting to the Recruitment & Admissions Manager (Full-Time and Weekend MBA), you will collaborate closely with colleagues across the Recruitment & Admissions team, the Business School and the wider University.
  • You will use data and insights to identify improvements, maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and represent Imperial at domestic, international and online events.

This people-focused role will require both analytical ability and sound professional judgement.

What we are looking for

  • Experience in recruitment, admissions or a comparable customer-focused environment, ideally within the Higher Education sector.
  • Proven ability to administer our application pipeline from enquiry to enrolment, building effective relationships and rigorously assessing candidate suitability to meet ambitious recruitment targets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a diverse global candidate pool.
  • Strong working knowledge of CRM systems and selection tools, able to utilise data to prepare reports on recruitment and admissions performance.
  • A commitment to continuous process improvement, using insights and feedback to enhance the candidate journey.
  • A proactive team player with the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver under pressure.

Further information

This is a full time and hybrid role, open-ended role based at the South Kensington campus. Hybrid roles allow a blend of remote and onsite work, with the requirement that all staff will spend a minimum of 60% of their working time (typically three days per week) onsite. The role will also include occasional weekend work and international travel. Interviews are due to take place on the week commencing Monday 20 July 2026, and will be conducted in-person on our South Kensington campus. Following the interview, you will be invited to an informal meeting with our Director of Recruitment & Admissions.
