In this role, you will act as the team's specialist for Power Pages while contributing broadly across model-driven apps, canvas apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.
You will also serve as lead for critical UCAS and Admissions systems, working directly with vendors, databases, and end users.
The position suits an engineer who looks beyond individual tickets to diagnose root causes, improve architectures, and help shape the long-term direction of our platform.
What you would be doingKey Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and maintenance of external Power Pages portals using Liquid, FetchXML, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Web APIs.
Configure, extend, and support solutions across the broader Microsoft stack, including model-driven apps, canvas apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.
Manage source control, review pull requests, and execute deployment pipelines across non-production and Production environments using Azure DevOps and GitHub.
Act as the technical lead for UCAS data exchanges, managing regular send and receive processes, upgrades, and operational reporting.
Manage integrations between UCAS and core student record systems (Banner via Data Connect) and Dataverse, writing and optimising SQL queries to support data flows.
Liaise directly with external vendors, including UCAS and Ellucian, to resolve technical issues and co-ordinate system enhancements.
Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex defects and architectural issues to prevent data discrepancies and safeguard user journeys.
Represent portal and integration delivery in sprint reviews and technical forums alongside Product Owners, Tech Leads, and senior stakeholders.
Progress DevOps maturity by contributing to the creation, maintenance, and automation of CI/CD pipelines.
What we are looking forWhat We're Looking For:
Education:
A degree in computer technology or a related discipline, or equivalent practical industry experience.
Experience:
Proven background in Power Platform development, with a clear specialism in Power Pages and external portal delivery.
Technical Knowledge: Strong practical skills in Liquid, FetchXML, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Dataverse, and managing SQL data flows or systems integrations (ideally including UCAS and Banner).DevOps & Delivery: Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, managing source control, pull requests, and multi-tier environment deployment pipelines.
Skills:
Excellent communication and analytical abilities to diagnose complex technical issues, engage directly with vendors and senior stakeholders, and take genuine ownership of solutions.
