About the role
Imperial is a world leading university, ranked 2nd in the world and 1st in the UK and Europe. Life Sciences is a fast‑paced multi‑disciplinary department at the forefront of its field, with laboratories in South Kensington and Silwood campuses.
What you would be doing
You will provide technical support to laboratory practical classes, helping to ensure the smooth day‑to‑day running of teaching laboratory facilities. Key duties will include:
- Support for students and academics during practical classes and team‑based project activities
- Preparing materials, samples and chemical solutions
- Assisting with experimental set‑up as directed by senior staff
- Assisting with the operation, routine maintenance, and cleaning of laboratory equipment
- Contributing to health and safety compliance, including supporting risk assessments, maintaining records, and assisting with laboratory waste management and general housekeeping
All activities will be carried out in accordance with established procedures, good laboratory practice, and departmental guidance.
You will need to have practical laboratory experience, strong communication and organisational skills, and be confident in delivering technical instructions to students. You should have good knowledge of Health.
