About the roleWe are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic candidate who will provide day-to-day scientific project management and clinical trials operations support to Professor Edison to ensure the successful delivery of multiple studies and other research initiatives.What you would be doingJoin the Imperial College Memory Research Centre at Hammersmith Campus, Imperial College London, as a Scientific Project Manager working with the internationally renowned Professor Paul Edison. In this pivotal role, you will drive the delivery of a diverse and ambitious portfolio of interventional, observational, neuroimaging, and translational research studies across neurodegenerative conditions including Alzheimer's disease, mild cognitive impairment, and vascular dementia, utilising cutting-edge PET, MRI, and CSF biomarker technologies to investigate neuroinflammation and neurodegeneration across Phase 1 and Phase 2/3 studies. You will play a central role in grant writing, manuscript development, protocol creation, and horizon-scanning for new funding opportunities, while ensuring all studies are delivered to the highest scientific, operational, and regulatory standards. Professor Edison’s team has an outstanding international track record, publishing in world-leading journals including Nature Medicine, The Lancet Neurology, The BMJ, and other Nature journals and producing transformational research with significant societal impact. This is an exceptional opportunity to make a lasting and meaningful contribution to world-leading dementia and neuroimaging research at one of the UK's most prestigious and impactful research institutions.What we are looking forYou should be a highly motivated individual educated to postgraduate level, with a PhD in neuroscience and substantial experience working in this field.You should have excellent writing skills, with the ability to prepare scientific reports, draft grant applications, and contribute to high-quality manuscripts.You should have experience in preparing ethics submissions, managing budgets, supporting staff across research and healthcare settings, and contributing to effective project management.You should have in-depth working knowledge of UK Clinical Trials Regulations, Principles of GCP, the Data Protection Act, and the Research Governance Framework, together with a proven ability to apply these to the coordination of clinical trials.What we can offer youThe opportunity to continue your career at a world-leading institutionThe opportunity to play a key role in transforming the treatment paradigm in neurodegenerative diseases and making a significant impact in the field.Further informationThis is a full-time, fixed-term post for one year and is available to start immediately.
