About the role

As Programme Director for Imperial Business School’s MBA Suite, you will shape the future of four market‑leading MBA programmes delivered across face‑to‑face, blended and online formats. This is a unique opportunity to influence our educational strategy, strengthen our global reputation, and ensure an exceptional experience for over 650 talented students from around the world.
The role is part of the Programmes & Education Quality Division at the Business School which delivers 20+ programmes across UG, MSc, MBA and Doctoral programmes delivering to over 3000 students and working with 200+ academics.
What you would be doing
- Direct the end‑to‑end delivery of the Full-Time MBA, Weekend MBA, Global Online MBA and Executive MBA, ensuring high quality student and faculty experiences.
- Lead and inspire the MBA Programmes Team, fostering a high‑performance culture built on collaboration, development and innovation.
- Work closely with senior stakeholders to develop and drive the long‑term strategy for Imperial’s MBA portfolio.
- Chair programme committees and lead annual reviews, overseeing continuous programme evaluation and improvement.
- Build meaningful engagement with students, alumni, employers, industry partners and advisory board members.
- Steer MBA rankings strategy, admissions activity, competitor analysis and portfolio planning, ensuring our offering remains distinctive and market.
What we are looking for
- We are seeking an experienced, strategic and collaborative leader who brings significant experience in higher education or a relevant sector, ideally with exposure to MBA or postgraduate programme management.
- Proven staff leadership skills, with a track record of motivating high‑performing teams.
- Strong financial management capability, including budget oversight and strategic resource planning.
- Deep knowledge of the UK and global graduate management education landscape, including quality assurance frameworks.
- Exceptional communication, influencing and relationship‑building skills with a wide range of stakeholders.
- The ability to think innovatively, solve complex problems and deliver continuous improvement in a fast‑paced environment.
