We are looking for a curious andenthusiastic post-doctoral research associate to join our team to work on the design and testing of agentic workflowsfor autonomous labs as part of the ยฃ20M European consortium project FULL-MAP.
You will be developing and deploying agentic systems in collaboration with colleagues at Imperial from the DIGIBAT robotic electrochemistry lab.
You will be expected to carry out research programmes inthe design, deployment and testingof agentic systems for controllingautonomouschemistry labs. You willalso be expected to contribute more broadly to the group byundertakingproject management and supervising multi-disciplinary teams.
You will be expected tosubmitpublications to refereed journals and to attract external researchfunding.

You should be a strong coder with experience in designing, training, testing, debugging, interpreting and deploying AI models. You should either know or be willing to learn about materials science.
Experience with agents is not required, but you should be willing to dive into the literature and get up to speed quickly.
You will need to manage the relationship with group members and the FULL-MAP consortium more broadly, and attend weekly meetings.
