Do you have experience supporting digital learning and working with virtual learning environments such as Canvas? We are recruiting an e-Learning Technologist (Assistant) to support a large-scale migration of module content into Canvas at Imperial Business School. This role focuses on the processing, migration, and quality assurance of learning materials, ensuring a consistent and high-quality experience for staff and students.

What you would be doing

  • Support the migration and organisation of module content into Canvas
  • Assist with the development, migration and enhancement of e-learning materials and activities
  • Carry out quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and functionality of content
  • Maintain records of module migration progress and support project coordination activities
  • Provide guidance and light-touch support to academic and professional services staff on Canvas and related tools
  • Contribute to testing, configuration, and review of modules following agreed standards and templates
  • Participate in team and project meetings and contribute to ongoing improvements in processes

What we are looking for

  • Experience in digital learning who can work effectively in a structured, process-driven environment
  • Experience supporting teaching and learning using digital technologies, including Canvas or a similar VLE
  • Experience working with academic and professional services colleagues to support modules or programmes
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage and prioritise tasks effectively
  • High attention to detail, particularly when working with structured digital content
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Experience of supporting e-learning or content migration projects
