Overview
In this role you will advise and support disabled students at Imperial, coordinating with internal and external agencies to secure suitable adjustments. You will prepare and issue Suggested Reasonable Adjustments Documents and conduct autism screenings to inform planning. You’ll advise academic and non‑academic departments on appropriate adjustments, contributing to an inclusive student experience. Responsibilities
- Advise and support disabled students with confidential, impartial guidance
- Liaise with internal and external agencies to coordinate support
- Prepare and issue Suggested Reasonable Adjustments Documents
- Conduct autism screenings
- Advise departments on appropriate adjustments for students
- Collaborate within an established team to deliver disability advisory services
Key requirements
- Substantial experience advising and facilitating support for disabled people, preferably in Higher Education
- Degree level education with continuing professional development in disability
- Excellent IT skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Experience maintaining accurate, confidential client case notes
- Understanding of the Equality Act and Data Protection legislation
