About the role
Are you passionate about software licensing, compliance, and driving value through smart asset management? Join our dynamic ICT Digital Workplace team as an Asset Management Analyst! In this role, you'll be one of the go-to experts for supporting software assets across their lifecycle from procurement to retirement.
What you would be doing
- You’ll work closely with the IC Team Leads, suppliers and internal teams to ensure compliance, optimise costs, and support purchasing decision-making through data analytics.
- You’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving asset inventory records and ensuring an up-to-date software catalogue.
- The role also encompasses facilitating software deployment to end users, ensuring devices are correctly licensed and compliant with end user terms.
- The postholder will also provide staff and student support by efficiently resolving software licensing queries via tickets or calls.
What we are looking for
- Proven experience in software asset management, including licensing, procurement, and compliance.
- Strong understanding of software lifecycle management and vendor engagement.
- Familiarity with IT service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow) and asset tracking systems.
- Ability to interpret and apply licensing models across various vendors (e.g., Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle).
- Experience resolving licensing-related support queries via service tickets or calls.
- Excellent communication skills for working with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a proactive approach to process improvement.
