In this varied and impactful role, you will lead the development, support and continuous improvement of digital systems and services that enable collaborative scientific research across partner institutions in Africa, Europe and North America. What you would be doing

As Digital Systems Manager (Target Malaria), you will act as the dedicated digital systems specialist for the Target Malaria project, working closely with project stakeholders, researchers and professional services colleagues to deliver high-quality IT and digital solutions. You will:

  • Lead the design, governance and ongoing development of Target Malaria's Microsoft Power Platform and SharePoint environments.
  • Manage and enhance Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI solutions, including the project's Quality Management System application.

  • Oversee ICT access and identity management processes, ensuring compliance with institutional security and governance standards.
  • Deliver user support, training and guidance on Microsoft 365 and Power Platform tools.
  • Act as a senior point of escalation for complex technical issues and provide expert advice to stakeholders.
  • Support IT asset and inventory management processes across the project.
  • Work collaboratively with Imperial's ICT Division, Digital Services colleagues and international project partners in a multicultural and geographically distributed environment.

This is an exciting opportunity to combine hands-on technical delivery with strategic digital systems development in support of a globally significant research initiative.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a proactive and solutions-focused digital systems professional with strong technical expertise and excellent stakeholder engagement skills. You should have:

  • Significant experience administering Microsoft 365 services, particularly SharePoint Online, Teams, and identity/access management.
  • Experience developing and supporting Power Platform solutions, including Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI.
  • Strong understanding of digital collaboration tools, information governance and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Experience delivering technical support, training and digital skills guidance to users with varying levels of technical confidence.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working collaboratively in complex project or research environments.
  • Experience with IT service management frameworks, IT asset management and Microsoft security/compliance tools would also be advantageous.

What we can offer you

The opportunity to support an internationally recognised global health research consortium working to reduce malaria transmission. A varied and impactful role combining digital systems leadership, service improvement and user engagement. The opportunity to continue your career at a world-leading institution and be part of our mission to use science for humanity. Benefit from a sector-leading salary and remuneration package (including 41 days' annual leave and generous pension schemes). Access to a range of workplace benefits including a flexible working policy from day one, generous family leave packages, on-site leisure facilities and cycle-to-work scheme.
