We are seeking an experienced Assistant People Partner to support the People Partners in the delivery of a high quality dedicated partnering service across the Chief Operating Officer’s following key areas (referred to as the “COO Team”): Finance Division, Information and Communications Technology Division, Property Division, White City Development, Transformation (formerly Strategic Programmes & Change).

The COO Team working environment is fast-paced, with diverse stakeholder groups who value a flexible, proactive, and people-centred HR service. This is a varied role that enables you to use your extensive HR generalist skill set to advise, influence, and effectively manage people-related challenges.

If you are interested in joining a highly motivated team of talented and experienced People professionals, you will need to be a proactive self-starter with excellent communication and influencing skills, able to confidently explain the rationale for advice and decisions where appropriate, and capable of handling difficult situations in a professional, calm manner.

Proactively working in partnership with managers and providing day-to-day advice/guidance, and tactical solutions on a range of employee-related issues (e.g., sickness absence, performance improvement, capability, probation). Build trust and strong relationships with managers to ensure that timely action is taken in accordance with People policies, statutory and legislative requirements. Proactively uses data and reporting to support managers with key information that informs decisions and actions.

HR professional with experience in either a generalist or specialist environment, including operational exposure to the application of employment law, case management, and organisational change management. Strong knowledge of employment legislation and best-practice approaches to HR processes. Ability to analyse problems, identify root causes, and develop a range of solutions. Excellent communication skills, able to quickly grasp information and communicate clearly, concisely, sensitively, assertively, and diplomatically, with the ability to deal with a diverse range of stakeholders.
