In this role, you will coordinate a range of alumni volunteering opportunities, including communications with volunteers, recruitment of recent graduates for induction panels, matching volunteers to opportunities and following up on activity. You will support the administration of the Alumni Advisory Council and help deliver stewardship and recognition activity, such as thank‑you communications and impact updates.
You will provide operational support for alumni engagement events and activities, including occasional evening events, and assist with alumni communications and other team projects as required. Your responsibilities will include maintaining accurate records of alumni volunteering and engagement in systems such as Blackbaud CRM, supporting data entry, updates and basic reporting, and contributing to monitoring participation, satisfaction and programme outcomes. You will also handle alumni and internal enquiries, process purchases and invoices, and provide high‑quality customer service to alumni, students, colleagues and other stakeholders.
What we are looking for
- Experience of supporting volunteering, alumni engagement, student engagement, events or similar stakeholder‑facing activity.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to manage a varied workload, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Experience of working with a range of internal and external stakeholders and providing good customer service.
- Confidence using data and databases to update records, track activity and support reporting (experience with CRM systems such as Blackbaud is desirable but not essential).
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, respond flexibly to changing priorities and build positive working relationships with colleagues, volunteers and alumni.
- A willingness to support occasional evening events.
