Do you want to play a pivotal role in shaping meaningful connections across Imperial’s worldwide alumni network? The Alumni Engagement team are looking for an Engagement and Events Coordinator to join our award-winning team to provide support for the design and delivery of our events and alumni engagement programmes.
The Advancement Division raises funds for scholarships, academic positions, research centres and capital projects, and delivers a strong engagement programme for alumni. Alumni of Imperial play a crucial role in supporting the university’s long‑term success, benefiting from a global, vibrant alumni community supported by services, activities, events and communications, as well as Imperial’s strong reputation.
Our portfolio of events is an integral part of our alumni engagement strategy. Delivered both in person and online, our alumni events provide diverse opportunities for alumni to connect with each other and with Imperial, in support of their professional and affinity connections, and intellectual development.
Based at the White City campus with travel between all Imperial campuses, this position supports the logistical arrangements and event communications for a varied programme of on and off-site events. The post holder will report to the Alumni Engagement Events Officer and also work closely with the Alumni Engagement Officer and the Alumni Volunteer Officer, as well as relevant internal stakeholders at Imperial.
Applicants will have proven experience of supporting a variety of engagement events, managing their own workload effectively and responding collaboratively and flexibly to opportunities and challenges as they arise. Project management, strong attention to detail, organisational, problem-solving and community engagement skills are vital for this role, as is a strong customer focus. Prior experience of delivering events in an alumni engagement, membership or volunteer environment is highly desirable.
