About the roleJoin Imperial College London's Digital Media Lab and help create cutting-edge digital experiences that bring world-leading research to life. Working at the intersection of immersive technologies, Digital Twins, real-time graphics and Generative AI, you'll play a key role in developing high-quality 3D assets and interactive environments that support education, research and innovationWhat you would be doingIn this role, you will design, develop and optimise high-quality 3D assets for Digital Twins, immersive simulations, XR experiences, virtual laboratories and other interactive applications. You will work closely with software engineers, researchers, learning designers and creative colleagues to deliver engaging real-time experiences.You will also:Lead the creation and deployment of 3D assets and animations across a wide range of projects.Establish and maintain technical standards for modelling, texturing, optimisation and real-time performance.Prepare assets for implementation in Unity, Unreal Engine and web-based platforms.Support the development of AI-assisted 3D production workflows and evaluate emerging creative technologies.Manage and maintain the Digital Media Lab's 3D asset library and production pipelines.Provide guidance and training to colleagues, helping to build 3D capability across the organisation.Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative educational, research and public engagement experiences.What we are looking forWe're looking for an experienced 3D professional with a blend of technical expertise, creative skill and collaborative working practices.
