Salary: Day Rate £18.95 and Night Rate £20.02, plus Holiday Pay

About the role

Are you friendly, confident, and outgoing with plenty of enthusiasm and a can-do attitude? If so, we have excellent fixed term (June-September 2026) opportunities for three Team Leaders to join our Property Division Guest Accommodation Operations Team. You will be joining the Team for a three-month period as a casual worker to provide a wide range of tasks supporting the running of our Guest Accommodation within Princes Gardens at our South Kensington Campus during the summer vacation period.

What you would be doing

  • You will provide supervision and guidance on all matters relating to front of house services and take a leading role in ensuring our customer services meets or exceeds expectations.
  • You will assist the Guest Operations Manager with a wide range of staff related issues including training, discipline and work performance of the reception staff.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring adherence to a range of policies, procedures and standards in support of a professional customer focused reception service.
  • You will effectively supervise the reception areas and services, ensuring customers are provided with the highest levels of care, advice and support.
  • You will be responsible for the appearance of the reception area, provide updates to hall and cleaning supervisors, and report maintenance issues and ensure they are dealt with timely.
  • The role will be required to ensure building evacuations are conducted appropriately and assistance is provided for vulnerable guests.
  • You will assist with Finance matters, cash and stock control and ensure staffing costs stay within budget.
  • This role requires flexibility, sound judgement, and the ability to manage priorities effectively.

What we are looking for

  • Previous experience of working in a similar fast paced, busy customer focused environment.
  • Experience of financial procedures and cash handling.
  • A good command of verbal English proven by the attainment of a basic level English language course, to be able to understand basic instructions and communicate effectively with customers, including staff, students and visitors.
  • Ability to work within and develop a team.
  • Good time management, customer service and organisational skills.
  • Excellent IT skills to include Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to exercise initiative.
  • A flexible approach to working, sufficient to work a 5/7 days per week arrangement, work evenings and weekends.
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude towards all tasks given.
  • The ability to stay calm and good humoured under pressure.
  • Desire to deliver and achieve high standards of service.
