We are advertising for an Event Assistant (Apprentice) to support the planning, coordination, and delivery of events aimed at engaging industry audiences to promote the work of our thriving research community.
Working closely with experienced event management professionals, communications and marketing specialists within Imperial Enterprise and across the wider university, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to a vibrant, world-leading institution with a focus on industry engagement as part of Imperial’s Science for Humanity strategy. The role aligns with the Event Assistant Apprenticeship Standard (level 3).
Responsibilities
- Assist with the planning, coordination and delivery of a diverse range of events for industry audiences.
- Collaborate with event management professionals, communications and marketing teams to support event execution.
- Help ensure events progress by escalating issues to the manager or key partners when needed.
- Manage time effectively to balance duties with the Apprenticeship qualification requirements.
- Contribute to delivering engaging events that connect researchers, entrepreneurs and industry partners.
Qualifications and Skills
- Enthusiastic and eager to learn, with a willingness to understand the ins-and-outs of event operations.
- Ability to think quickly and act appropriately in challenging situations.
- Strong time management and the ability to work in a small team with multiple stakeholders.

Apprenticeship Details
The role is aligned with the Event Assistant Apprenticeship Standard, which is a Level 3 qualification (A-Level equivalent). You’ll be an intrepid learner, gaining experience while completing the Apprenticeship.
