Imperial College London is seeking an Assistant/ Associate/ Full Professor in Management and Entrepreneurship with the Imperial Business School. Applicants can be from any research area within wider management themes including but not limited to organisational behaviour, organisational theory, social psychology, leadership, sociology, and entrepreneurship. The position requires a strong record of research and demonstrated excellence in teaching and service (appropriate to the level).

Depending on your level of appointment, you will also be expected to contribute to the administration of the School, participate in its internal life, and help enhance its reputation for excellence in teaching. In doing so, you will support Imperial’s academic mission of to deliver world class scholarship, education and research.
As a faculty in the department, you will be expected to conduct world-class research that is published in both high impact generalist and specialist field journals and to showcase thought leadership on issues of inclusivity as the core theme in different contexts. Major research themes of interest to the department include, but are not limited to:
- Creating inclusive workplaces and organizations/ sectors
- Understanding the role of leadership in creating inclusivity in organisations
- Identifying and addressing individual, organizational, and structural barriers to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace / entrepreneurial ecosystems
- Identifying and addressing barriers to inclusion in the design, development and accessibility of new technologies
- Designing and measuring efficacy of diversity, equity, and inclusion practices and processes for managing in organizations
- The impact of diversity and inclusion efforts on interpersonal relationships and team collaboration
- The role of technological advancements in the emergence and/or deterioration of social well-being
- Understanding causes of and potential solutions to the underrepresentation of women, ethnic minorities, and other marginalized groups in leadership positions
- Understanding how adversity and environment impact employees in the workplace (such as performance, motivation, wellbeing,
- The effect on organizational decision-making processes and firm performance of inclusivity in boardrooms
- The lived experiences of minoritized individuals in the workplace and how they and their collaborators manage the differences that exist among them
We are open to scholars approaching inclusivity research through qualitative, quantitative, and/or mixed-method approaches and at micro- or macro-levels of analysis.
We especially welcome candidates whose professional experience, community engagement, and personal background have enhanced their understanding of, and ability to better serve, students from traditionally underrepresented communities in higher education.
In addition, you will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Hold a PhD in Management or related field or equivalent
- Have a developing/ established national/ international reputation and expertise in the field to the study of management and/or entrepreneurship (commensurate with the career stage)
- Have a track record in attracting high levels of research funding (commensurate with the career stage)
- Evidence of contribution to the development and performance of colleagues through coaching and mentoring
- Have experience of preparing grant applications for submission
- Have experience and capability to act as a role model in areas of research, teaching and management as appropriate
- Have a portfolio of research publications, confirming national standing (commensurate with career stage)
- Have experience of training Undergraduate and Postgraduate students
- Have experience of supervision of higher degrees (PhD)
