The HIV and Sexual Health research team, based at St Mary\’s Hospital, is looking for a Band 7 Senior Clinical Research Nurse to oversee the delivery of research studies, and manage the research team; as part of this they will have a small portfolio of studies for which they will be required to study coordinate. This is a 12 month fixed-term contract, with a view to extend. It provides an opportunity for an enthusiastic, hardworking and highly motivated individual to support the expansion of the research portfolio, and develop the clinical research delivery team. The team currently support research into HIV and associated comorbidities and ageing, HIV functional cure and long-acting medications, treatment optimisation and sexual health.
The successful applicant will gain managerial experience, while using their research and clinical skills to support research delivery in partnership with senior clinical staff and principal investigators. They role is based at St Mary\’s, but occasionally there will be travel to Hammersmith Hospital and Charing Cross Hospital. The post is looking for a dynamic individual, keen to create changes and improvements to increase research recruitment in this important and fascinating clinical area.

- Acts as a role model demonstrating high standards of care and providing clinical leadership to others.
- To be actively involved in the development and implementation of Trust policies and procedures at department level and reinforce their use.
- To ensure that trust wide standards are maintained and monitored to improve the quality of care to all those who come into contact with the service provided by Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. The post holder has responsibility for safety as outlined in the hospitals policy and Health and Safety Work Act 1974.
