Overview
The trust has an ambitious and wide-reaching IT strategy. This includes the support, implementation and upgrades to key systems such as our endoscopy, colposcopy and intensive care systems.
Role
The application support analyst Band 5 will support our clinical and non‑clinical staff with the configuration and use of our digital systems. The analyst will work in the Managed Applications Support Team, part of the overall ICT Application Support team, supporting the Trust’s core applications.
The responsibilities include managing Business as Usual requests and ongoing system configuration, handling issues and problems logged on the ICT Service Desk, maintaining the availability, responsiveness, security and data integrity of the system, and managing reference data within the system. The holder must be familiar with local trust standards, policies and procedures as well as nationally mandated policies and standards and apply them to the systems supported.
Competencies required include analytical and communication skills for the day‑to‑day administration and management of Trust applications, ability to work with users, understand their needs, resolve issues, provide feedback, report progress, and document support standards and procedures. The role also involves championing the system, promoting its use, collaborating with developers and external agencies/suppliers, managing work to meet National and Trust requirements, ensuring timescales are met, and adhering to Service Level Agreements.
