Job overview
We are looking for a full-time 12 month Maternity Cover for our Patient Accommodation and Assistant Service Manager Role.
We are seeking a special individual who is motivated, sensitive and will be supportive to families staying in the house. The role requires an enthusiastic individual who can demonstrate excellent organisational, operational, leadership and motivational skills. Someone who is friendly, hard-working and open-minded to join our team and manage our parent accommodation for families of children who are on the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) based at St Mary\’s Hospital, Paddington and also supporting the wider Paediatric service delivery.
The appointed candidate will be responsible for the management of cosmic house and assisting the paediatric service manager and the service directors in the delivery of objectives.
Main duties of the job
The Parent Accommodation Officer will be responsible for the management of the house and key responsibilities include:
- Welcoming new families to the house, liaising with PICU ward personnel.
- Being supportive and understanding to families at all times and being alert to the security of the house whilst ensuring families understand the need for this.
You will also be required to carry out some light domestic duties. The Parent Accommodation Officer will work to charity and Trusts high standards to achieve consistent, excellent delivery of our duty of care and emotional support for the families that we accommodate.
