Do you have hands-on experience with Cisco/Fortinet or Juniper/Fortinet? We are working with an established, privately owned business that’s looking for a 1st Line Network Engineer to join their growing team. What you’ll need: Around 3 years of experience implementing, supporting & troubleshooting Cisco & Fortinet or Juniper & Fortinet (ideally both!) Strong working knowledge of WAN/LAN infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs Familiarity with PRTG, Visio, and solid troubleshooting skills A passion for network engineering and a drive to learn and grow What you’ll do Provide 1st line network infrastructure support. Including the support, configuration and installation of various network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS). Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations. Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning. Provide Level-1 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues with switching technologies- like STP, VLANs, VTP. Good understanding and troubleshooting skills on the Optical Network and fibre connections, Optical interfaces, SFPs/ GBICs and etc. Learn, progress and develop your skill set.
