We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join our service team in Highbridge. This is a dynamic, hands-on role where you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing materials handling equipment and site machinery, while acting as a key technical contact for customers. This role is ideal for engineers from automotive, HGV, plant, forklift, or military backgrounds who are looking for more autonomy and variety in their day-to-day work.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on materials handling and ancillary equipment
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently and safely
- Complete service reports, job sheets, and timesheets accurately
- Manage and control on-site parts stock
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring service expectations are met
- Liaise with internal teams to provide accurate repair updates and ETAs
- Identify and complete additional chargeable repair work
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety procedures
- Identify and pass on new sales or service opportunities
- Represent the business professionally as a Company Ambassador
Occasional call-out and out-of-hours work may be required.

Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in maintenance, repair, or field service engineering
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Confident working in a customer-facing environment
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Proactive, professional, and solutions-focused approach
- Full UK driving licence
