We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join our service team in Highbridge. This is a dynamic, hands-on role where you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing materials handling equipment and site machinery, while acting as a key technical contact for customers. This role is ideal for engineers from automotive, HGV, plant, forklift, or military backgrounds who are looking for more autonomy and variety in their day-to-day work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on materials handling and ancillary equipment
  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently and safely
  • Complete service reports, job sheets, and timesheets accurately
  • Manage and control on-site parts stock
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring service expectations are met
  • Liaise with internal teams to provide accurate repair updates and ETAs
  • Identify and complete additional chargeable repair work
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety procedures
  • Identify and pass on new sales or service opportunities
  • Represent the business professionally as a Company Ambassador

Occasional call-out and out-of-hours work may be required.

About You

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience in maintenance, repair, or field service engineering
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Confident working in a customer-facing environment
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Proactive, professional, and solutions-focused approach
  • Full UK driving licence
