About the Opportunity
Guidant Global is launching an exciting new Learning & Development Administration Managed Service within the defence sector. As part of this brand new team build, we are looking for a highly organised, people focused L&D Team Leader to oversee the day to day operation of this high profile service.
You will lead a team of six L&D Coordinators, ensure the successful delivery of more than 16,000 training bookings per year, and act as the key operational link between internal stakeholders and suppliers. If you thrive in fast paced environments, love bringing structure to complexity, and enjoy developing people, this role is for you.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Team Leadership & Coaching
- Lead, support and mentor a team of up to 6 L&D Coordinators
- Run regular 1:1s, identify development needs, and build capability
- Ensure strong coverage and balanced workload across the team
- Operational Delivery
- Oversee daily workflow: training requests, enrolments, cancellations, rebookings
- Monitor SLAs, data integrity and service quality
- Step in to support hands on admin work when required
- Improve SOPs, processes and reporting workflows
- Client & Supplier Interaction
- Act as the primary operational contact for the client's L&D Advisor
- Lead weekly and monthly service review meetings
- Deliver MI, performance insights and risk updates
- Support supplier related queries with the Supplier Relationship Manager
- Continuous Improvement
- Drive QA standards across the service
- Encourage team innovation and smarter ways of working
- Contribute to the set up and evolution of this new service line
Essential Skills & Experience
- 3+ years in operations, managed services or service delivery
- Experience leading and developing people
- Strong analytical skills and organisational capability
- Excellent written communication
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
- Eligibility for Security Clearance (SC)
Desirable
- Experience in L&D or training administration
- MSP/shared services background
- Project management exposure
- Defence/public sector experience
- Comfortable working in high volume, process driven environments
