Lorien's leading banking client is looking for a Business Line Assistant to join them on a contract basis. The role provides support to the UK office, as well as other teams and platforms where required, across a broad range of business management activities, including technology and other transformation initiatives, maintenance of internal technology tools, data analytics and monitoring, cost and budget oversight, and general operational support.

Core Accountabilities of the role:

  • Assist with transformation projects (planning, scoping, implementation and monitoring), covering topics such as technology/AI implementation (primarily using the MS365 ecosystem and internal LLM tools), process improvements, cost efficiency initiatives and administrative matters.
  • Assist in maintaining internal SharePoint sites, chatbot tools and other administrative databases, documents and systems.
  • Support data analytics and management reporting: design and implement appropriate key indicators and management information packs; produce and distribute these on a periodic basis (automating where possible); assist in analysing and monitoring outputs, performing controls and following up with relevant stakeholders as required.

Knowledge, Skill and Experience required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related discipline preferred.
  • Advanced IT literacy, with strong knowledge and practical experience in using advanced features across the MS365 suite (e.g. SharePoint Lists/Forms, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI). Knowledge of VBA, macros or other programming languages is an advantage.
  • Basic project management skills, with the ability to support planning, coordination and delivery activities.
  • Strong relationship management and business partnering skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
