Lorien\’s leading banking client is looking for a Programme Manager to join the team on a Mainframe Transformation Programme.
This will role is looking for someone who has experience of working within Financial Services, interacting with SME’s/Developers/Internal Stakeholders and Vendors, and experienced with Integration Projects.
This role is Ideal for a candidate who has experience of working with Mainframes, Cobol, and Java.
This role is based in London.
This role will be Via Umbrella.
Working in a Hybrid Model of 1-2 days a week on site.
- We are embarking on a Mainframe modernisation journey that will a take legacy application that has been developed in Cobol and DB2 on Prem and migrate them to the target architecture and software namely Java and Postgres with the application being hosted on Cloud (AWS). The successful candidate will need to Programme Manage all parts of the delivery and ensure the teams and suppliers involves are working towards this key outcome.
- Define and lead strategic change programmes and take accountability for the programme and project life cycles to deliver sustainable business and customer outcomes.
- Make sure that all governance, risk, finances, and resources are managed effectively across a range of delivery methodologies.
- Manage delivery from Suppliers ensuring contractual milestones have been met.
Key Skills and Experience
- Deliver customer value by defining the programme, including the preferred methodology working with a range of stakeholders and make sure that they are given appropriate objectives, structure and scope.
- Prepare or contribute to a financial business case for the programme with a clear line of sight to the customer value being delivered in accordance with investment portfolio and funding requirements.
- Identify and manage the governance control processes appropriate to the complexities of the programme, making sure that all the programme deliverables support the agreed governance framework.
- Make sure that the delivery of customer value through project outcomes and services from the projects meets the strategic objectives of the programme, and plan for the frequent delivery of business value and enhanced customer experience.
- Strong experience of managing complex plans and deliveries across a number of delivery partners and teams – Must have
- Evidence of delivering Transformation projects and programs that migrate on prem systems to Public Cloud – Desirable
- Strong experience of delivering modernisation of Mainframe systems involving BlueAge– Very Desirable
- Strong evidence of stakeholder management with external teams across the organisation – Vey Desirable
