We’re looking for an Engineering Manager - DBA to lead and mentor a high-performing team of Database Administrators (DBAs). In this role, you'll oversee the operation of our critical transactional platform, ensuring reliability and efficiency. Additionally, you’ll play a key role in innovating how our digital products are designed through data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of DBAs.
- Implement best practices for database administration, including performance tuning, security, and disaster recovery.
- Oversee all aspects of database operations, including installation, upgrades, migrations, patching, and application development.
- Collaborate with development, architecture, and service teams to ensure seamless database deployments and integrations.
- Participate in capacity planning and resource allocation for the DBA team.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and best practices.
- Support live platforms beyond just databases, including contributing to real-time BI platforms.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a 24x7 operational environment.
- Expertise in database administration (Performance Tuning, Security, Clustering, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with MySQL, MariaDB, or Oracle.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS.
- Knowledge of Linux, particularly CentOS or similar.
