We’re looking for an Engineering Manager - DBA to lead and mentor a high-performing team of Database Administrators (DBAs). In this role, you'll oversee the operation of our critical transactional platform, ensuring reliability and efficiency. Additionally, you’ll play a key role in innovating how our digital products are designed through data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of DBAs.
  • Implement best practices for database administration, including performance tuning, security, and disaster recovery.
  • Oversee all aspects of database operations, including installation, upgrades, migrations, patching, and application development.
  • Collaborate with development, architecture, and service teams to ensure seamless database deployments and integrations.
  • Participate in capacity planning and resource allocation for the DBA team.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and best practices.
  • Support live platforms beyond just databases, including contributing to real-time BI platforms.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a 24x7 operational environment.
  • Expertise in database administration (Performance Tuning, Security, Clustering, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with MySQL, MariaDB, or Oracle.
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS.
  • Knowledge of Linux, particularly CentOS or similar.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases, especially MongoDB, is a plus.
