We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to help shape the future of the UK’s next-generation retail payments infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of national-level innovation, partnering closely with industry leaders, design authorities, and delivery teams to define and deliver a truly transformative payments proposition.
What you’ll be doing:
- Developing high-level designs for the next generation of retail payment systems
- Researching best practices across UK and global payment ecosystems and translating insights into strategic recommendations
- Engaging with industry stakeholders to understand their needs, journeys, and challenges
- Designing end-to-end user journeys that support a modernised payments landscape
- Producing papers, recommendations, and strategic narratives for internal and external boards and forums
- Working with the Retail Payment Innovation Board Design Authority and the Delivery Company to ensure alignment across all workstreams
What we’re looking for:
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to gain buy-in from diverse stakeholders
- Strong analytical capability to deconstruct complex problems and develop sound, strategic recommendations
- Ability to evaluate competing architectural choices and align decisions to public-policy and strategic drivers
