We are supporting a long‑established specialist in large‑scale audio and PAVA systems to grow their engineering team. Their projects include sporting venues, high footfall public spaces, industrial facilities, and other environments requiring robust, safety critical communication systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead installation, configuration, commissioning and optimisation of PAVA and professional audio systems.
- Interpret technical drawings and turn them into operational on‑site solutions.
- Provide diagnosis, testing and fault resolution across audio, IP‑based and networked systems.
- Act as technical lead, ensuring systems meet compliance with relevant British Standards.
- Produce commissioning reports, service documentation and handover packs.
- Coordinate on‑site teams of up to 10 people, including occasional subcontractors.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience with PAVA systems and/or professional audio installation.
- Understanding of IP‑based audio and networked communication systems.
- Ability to interpret schematics and technical documentation.
- Confident in leading site activities and guiding project delivery.
- ECS/CSCS card (or willingness to obtain one).
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel, including potential for 1-2 nights away weekly.
Desirable Experience
- Familiarity with Bosch, ASL, Baldwin Boxall or similar PAVA platforms.
- Experience with Q‑Sys including programming.
- Industry certifications such as IPAF, PASMA, SSSTS/SMSTS.
- Understanding of EN54 and associated British Standards.
