The Opportunity Impel Talent has been retained by a leading global IPP with a multi-GW pipeline to appoint a Programme Manager to own the end-to-end delivery of its UK solar portfolio. Reporting directly into the Head of PMO and with a dotted line to the UK Managing Director, you will sit at the heart of the central PMO, driving multiple 100 MW+ solar projects through development, construction, and energisation.
This is a high-visibility role where you will shape programme governance, accelerate delivery velocity, and ensure real-time transparency for C-suite and investors. You’ll be the glue between engineering, commercial, finance, and external EPC/ODM partners—delivering measurable value in one of Europe’s most dynamic renewable markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the UK Solar Programme Roadmap: Define objectives, milestones, budgets, and critical paths across concurrent large-scale projects.
- Drive Execution Excellence: Oversee planning, risk management and compliance.
- Lead Cross-Functional Delivery
- Risk & Change Leadership: Proactively identify risks (grid delays, supply chain, policy shifts), deploy mitigations, and manage scope/schedule changes via formal change control.
- Performance & Reporting
- Process Innovation: Embed best-practice tools and continuous improvement frameworks to reduce cycle times and cost overruns.
Your Profile
- Education: Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Civil), Project Management, or Business.
- Experience: 4–7+ years in programme/project management within UK utility-scale solar
- Leadership: Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, resolve conflicts, and inspire high-performing teams.
