We are supporting a large, global professional services organisation undergoing a significant technology transformation. As part of this, they are looking to bring in experienced IT Project Managers to support a business-critical End User Technology programme. This role will focus on delivering a firmwide Windows 11 upgrade ahead of the Windows 10 end-of-life deadline. The objective is to ensure a controlled, low-disruption rollout across a large user base while maintaining business continuity and meeting security and compliance standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Own and manage the end to end delivery of a Windows 11 upgrade programme
- Develop and maintain detailed delivery plans aligned to business priorities
- Coordinate device readiness activities including hardware and application compatibility
- Work closely with infrastructure, end user computing, security and service desk teams
- Act as the central point of coordination between IT and business stakeholders
- Manage rollout, pilot groups, testing and go-live activities
- Oversee hypercare support and ensure smooth transition into BAU
- Identify and mitigate risks, including application compatibility and capacity constraints
- Maintain RAID logs, reporting and provide clear updates to senior stakeholders
- Support change and communications, ensuring users are prepared for the upgrade
Key requirements:
- Proven experience delivering large scale Windows 10 to 11 or similar OS upgrade programmes
- Strong end to end IT project delivery experience within infrastructure or EUC environments
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience working within professional services, legal or financial services environments preferred
- Relevant project management certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP or Agile
