I’m hiring a Data Engineer for a medical AI team based in Manchester (on-site). This isn’t a “big data” role — it’s a high-ownership position focused on getting raw medical/imaging + metadata into clean, reliable, privacy-safe datasets so the AI team can iterate and ship faster.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Building and running Python + SQL pipelines (ingest → clean → validate → output)
  • Owning de-identification / anonymisation workflows (PII/PHI) — the team cannot legally view patient-identifying info
  • Implementing data quality checks and repeatable processes (not one-off scripts)

What they’re looking for:

  • Roughly 2–5 years in data engineering
  • Strong Python + SQL and hands-on ETL/ELT
  • Experience with sensitive/regulated data (healthcare/NHS ideal) and can explain how you’ve handled PII/PHI
  • Comfortable on-site in Manchester (Mon–Fri)

If you’re open to a quick chat (or know someone who is), message me directly.
