The Sustainability Analyst role is a dedicated resource with deep sustainability expertise, strong client focus, and excellent written and presentation skills enabling the effective communication of Impax’s leading approach in the transition to a more sustainable economy.
The role is based within the Impax Sustainability Centre (SC) in London and is involved in the ongoing core sustainability work of the SC, including research and stewardship. The role has a client sustainability advisory focus, including managing written client queries linked to Impax’s sustainability capabilities. The role will also include coordination of Impax’s sustainability reporting. Deep prior sustainability expertise and knowledge of the sustainable finance landscape is expected, as are excellent presentation and written skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Investment Sustainability & Stewardship
- Participate in the SC team’s work on sustainability research
- Conduct high quality, timely corporate/issuer resilience evaluations
- Support stewardship work depending on seasonal priorities, including engagement, proxy voting and representation at portfolio review meetings
- Sustainability Client Advisory, Reporting & Advocacy
- Lead on coordinating the delivery of high quality, timely content in response to sustainability-related client and prospect requests
- Support the delivery of key sustainability reporting projects
- Support the delivery of our sustainability reporting efficiency strategy and innovation
- Collaboration & Culture

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE
- Essential:
- 1-3 years of sustainability experience from leading investment firm
- Passion for and deep expertise within sustainable investment
- Strong written and presentation skills
- Attention to detail and analytical abilities are critical
- Client focused, ability to establish consultative and partner relations on sustainability internally and with key clients
- Desirable:
- Sustainability-related degree
