Not interested in cookie cutter engagements? We believe that strategy consulting can - and should - be more than just rinsing and repeating. We’re looking for an ambitious early-career Strategy & Innovation Consultant to join us. This role is ideal for someone who’s keen to build their career within life sciences and master genuinely novel design-led approaches.
There are plenty of Consulting companies out there. But at Impatient, we are looking only for the sharpest minds. Are you a strategic thinker with a deep curiosity in tomorrow’s biggest healthcare challenges? Are you a problem-solver that doesn’t quite fit into the ‘conventional’ box? Are you excited to be part of a global team and contribute your knowledge and experience by working with life sciences clients? If so, we’d love to hear from you.
Why we exist: Let's be honest - the pharma industry is generally very traditional and doesn’t have a great reputation. Yet the work it does is life-or-death important, and health is a very emotive industry. It could be so much better - and we want to help it get there. Impatient Health is a catalyst for change within pharma. We connect those who believe that pharma has great untapped potential and are desperate to do things differently - and help them through events, research and strategy consulting.
Despite being young as a company (5 years), we have some incredible assets:
- Running one of Pharma’s most disruptive events. We bring the industry’s rebels together to shape the future of healthcare.
- Having an ‘independent’ positioning.
- Having a well-known thought leader at our helm. This gives us a unique platform from which to challenge others and inspire them to do better for patients.
Your responsibilities:
- Supporting, designing and delivering strategy consulting projects, across our core practice areas: Marketing Excellence, Medical Excellence, Patient Engagement and AI & Digital Transformation.
- Owning day to day client contact, navigating complex stakeholder dynamics and understanding client needs.
- Contributing to new proposals and client bids.
- Sharing your knowledge and ideas to help us deliver cutting edge work and build new tools, templates and processes that support our growth.
About you:
- You’re curious. You understand the power of asking the right questions and unlocking new perspectives.
- You’re empathetic. You’re keen to put yourself in a client’s shoes and understand the context they’re operating in.
- You’re able to connect seemingly disparate dots and bring clarity to complex situations.
- You crave independence and autonomy and have the confidence to talk to stakeholders at all levels.
- You’re not content with the status quo. You’re always looking for new ways to solve problems and explore how new methodologies actually work in practice.
- You’re fascinated by how industries evolve. You’re quick to grasp key market shifts and can translate them into smart, actionable insights.
The experience we’re looking for:
- Consulting experience: You have at least a year of strategy/ management consulting or other relevant experience under your belt.
- You're deeply curious about Pharma: You may or may not have got the chance to work with Life Sciences or Healthcare companies yet, but you see the potential for impact on the industry and are highly motivated to explore it.
- Organisation skills: The ability to prioritise tasks and work towards deadlines comes naturally to you. You enjoy the variety that comes with juggling multiple projects.
Nice to have:
- Experience with workshop design and delivery.
What to expect from our hiring process:
- We’ll always aim to review your application as soon as possible - but as a small team committed to looking at every application (without relying on AI), sometimes it takes longer than we’d like to get in touch with next steps.
- A 20 minute intro call.
- A 50 minute interview focused on the core skills for the role.
- A short take home task.
- A 50 minute final interview (including a debrief on the task and broader questions about your personal values and ways of working).
