You’re hitting your sales targets and doing well. But there’s something about your role that just isn’t doing it for you anymore. You’re seeking a new challenge, in a company that rewards talent. You’ve built up your own network from successfully selling to life science decision makers, but you’re not truly reaping the value in your current role. You also want more ownership over your role than you\’re getting, and your say in the bigger picture. In fact, you want your voice to be heard in how the company is run at large.

We have the role that you didn’t know you were looking for.

Impatient Health is a young, fast‐growing company, which is a mix of innovation consultancy and think‑tank, with a big mission to challenge the status quo within life sciences. We have some incredible assets – (i) knowing everyone in the industry, (ii) being viewed as trusted and \’independent\’, (iii) having a well‑known CEO who is known as a disruptor.

Your role

As we close out our 4th year, it\’s time to hit the accelerator and take our offering growth to a new level. You\’ll help take us there.

Due to the size and quality of our network – we\’ve already attracted an impressive roster of clients – from disruptive start‑ups through to industry giants. We need your help to grow our customer base and expand this market‑validated offering to new companies.

We\’ve spent the last couple of years crafting and perfecting services across events, research and strategy consulting. You\’ll cross‑sell these product areas and develop your own accounts to grow.

You work across the full sales process from lead generation and cold outreach, through to proposal development, negotiation and ultimately winning deals.

With that said – this isn\’t your \’run of the mill\’ sales job, it won\’t be purely a numbers game – trotting out the old sales lines. We\’re looking for someone who is first and foremost a listener. The person who will thrive here is someone who is intellectually curious, who has the confidence to lead a sales engagement with the leadership of a potential client, and who is able to present themselves as a peer – able to give compelling advice on how we can help.

As you build up your own clients, you\’ll naturally expand into account management – become a critical strategic partner to the leadership of clients.

You\’ll immediately be given the independence to represent our company, engaging with senior executives (often c‑level) to understand potential client needs and position Impatient Health to help.

We\’re just getting started, with huge potential in our core service areas – if you do well, you\’ll share in that growth.

Your responsibilities

  • Lead Generation: identify potential clients and find the best way to start a relationship
  • Proposal Development: independently craft winning proposals
  • Negotiation & Closing: engage and negotiate with client leaders to strike the best possible deal
  • Account Management: form powerful, lasting relationships with our clients ensuring a long‑term repeat business
  • Sales Strategy: work with our team internally to craft a strategy to support your efforts
  • Be a team player: get stuck in and contribute to company strategy, channel your inner entrepreneur and contribute to the growth of our business.

About you

  • Connected. While not a deal‑breaker, you ideally come to the team with a network in life sciences.
  • Tenacious. You don\’t give up at the first hurdle – you have an inner drive to overcome whatever challenge stands in your way.
  • Sales‑driven. You’ll love striking deals – you\’re driven by targets and motivated by the earning potential of sharing in the rewards. You have a track record that proves this.
  • Empathetic. People open up to you, and you have a natural listening instinct that guides you to where the real issue lies.
  • Agile thinker. You have the confidence to think on your feet and you understand how to respond to what you\’re hearing to best reflect value back to who you\’re speaking to.
  • Personable. You\’re able to quickly win trust and form strong relationships.
  • Excellent communicator. You have the charisma and confidence to get your point across concisely.
  • Independent. Able to work independently with minimal supervision. You do better when not micro‑managed, and you create your own structure.
  • Human. You are not putting on a front; you’re always yourself. You know when to ask for help, and you look after yourself.

Work/Life Balance

We’re all aiming to strike the right work life balance. You\’ll enter a hybrid role of in‑person and remote. You\’ll get together regularly with our London‑based sales team – while still having the flexibility to work remotely. Ultimately: we care more about outcomes than output. We want you to get the job done in the way that works for you. But, are you craving some sun during winter? You\’ll generally be free to work from wherever you\’re most productive, as long as you meet your in‑person commitments.

Learning Opportunities

Your personal development is our collective future success. In addition to dedicated regular time to progressing your career goals, we also offer \’study leave\’ for bigger requests – our senior leadership team are here to offer support and guidance for your development.

Culture

Remote‑first doesn\’t need to mean distant – we’re a friendly bunch at Impatient and overcompensate for our lack of office with those get‑togethers. We\’ll make sure you get the face time to form connections with the wider team.

Mind, Body & Soul

Stipend of £750 a year for wellness. This annual credit can also be used towards professional development, self‑care, or an experience that takes you somewhere new. We also provide extra funds for simply going to visit other members of the team!

Employee Wellbeing

We care deeply about our employee\’s well‑being and that’s why we offer mental health support through a partner mental health service which lets you speak to a therapist anytime you need.

  • A final 1 hour panel interview focusing on both your skills and cultural alignment
