About the job

Our client is building AI systems that fundamentally change how financial institutions fight fraud and assess business risk. Their platform replaces slow, manual due diligence with intelligent agents that transform messy, unstructured data into clear decisions for compliance teams worldwide. Founded by engineers who have previously built fraud and credit risk systems safeguarding billions in transactions, the team is now scaling this expertise to help fintechs and banks detect risk faster, onboard legitimate businesses more smoothly, and reduce financial crime at a global level.

Role Overview:

You’ll join as a Founding AI Engineer, designing and scaling production-grade LLM systems that power automated due diligence workflows used by financial institutions operating across multiple regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and evolve core AI agent frameworks used to automate complex compliance and risk workflows
  • Build reliable infrastructure that enables language models to reason over diverse data sources and internal tools
  • Ship production-ready AI features, from experimentation through deployment and iteration
  • Partner closely with customers to deeply understand real-world compliance challenges and translate them into product improvements
  • Take ownership of end-to-end outcomes, from technical decisions to user impact
  • Contribute to shaping engineering standards, architecture, and long-term technical direction in a fast-growing environment

Qualifications:

  • Strong hands-on experience building and deploying AI-driven systems in production environments
  • Deep interest in applied language models and how they can be safely and effectively used in enterprise settings
  • Solid backend engineering skills, with comfort working across modern cloud-based architectures
  • Ability to operate in ambiguous problem spaces and make sound technical trade-offs
  • High empathy for users and a genuine interest in solving operational problems alongside customers
  • Mindset aligned with early-stage teams; ownership-driven, pragmatic, and comfortable moving fast

If you’re excited about building AI systems that help financial institutions stop fraud, streamline compliance, and make global business onboarding safer and faster, this is a chance to shape both the product and the company from day one.
