About this Role
Join Allianz Global Investors as a Portfolio Analyst in the Development Finance & Impact Credit team, where you will play a critical role in managing impactful private debt investment opportunities. Based in our London office, this position offers the chance to engage with investment strategies focused on sustainability and high-impact solutions across emerging markets and Europe. You will be responsible for supporting the structuring, credit analysis, and execution of debt investments, ensuring alignment with the team’s aim of creating measurable positive differences globally. In this role, you will leverage your prior deal experience to effectively communicate and collaborate across a global scope, facilitating cross-functional interactions. The role is designed for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and possess a proactive approach toward the ever-evolving investment landscape.
Responsibilities
- Participate in origination activities, including relationship building with partner institutions
- Assess initial attractiveness of investment opportunities by conducting benchmark pricing and preliminary credit analysis
- Run financial modeling with the ability to project different scenarios
- Review and analyze due diligence materials and evaluate independent research
- Prepare investment memos for presentation to the Investment Committee
- Collaborate with internal parties to ensure successful transaction execution
- Support investor reporting of existing investments in the portfolio
- Prepare materials for investor communication and assist with ad hoc presentations
Requirements
- 2-3 years’ work experience in Development Finance, Private Equity/Credit, M&A, Structured Finance, or Debt advisory
- Experience in emerging private markets investments and sustainability or impact investing
- Proficiency in financial modeling and credit risk analysis
- Solid academic track record
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications; experience on Bloomberg is a plus
- Eagerness to work in a platform focused on sustainability and impact investing
- Attention to detail and ability to challenge statements and processes
- Proactivity and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
